Halo 3 Week!

Halo 3 comes out Sept 25th (morning) at Midnight, and the Game Room will be getting 2 copies and staying up LATE playing Halo 3 on their 2 Xbox360s! The Arcade is hosting a Halo 3 Tournament in the Game Room on Friday, Sept 28th around 6pm (tentative). If you preordered your copy of Halo 3 at the EB in the Town Center, you can participate in a Halo 2 tournament on Sunday, Sept 23rd.

Halo 3 Tournament
When: Friday, Sept 28th @ 6:00pm
Where: 14 / Gameroom
Why: Free Prizes, Pizza, and Soda!

Type: Single Elimination Free For All (# of players per match depends on total attendance)
Maps: Will be announced before each round (again, depends on attendance)
Setup: 4 TVs, each with an Xbox360, back to back to back
Notice: Bring your own UNMODIFIED OFFICIAL Xbox 360 controllers if you like

Rules: Slayer Defaults
--Starting Weapon = Assault Rifle
--Weapons = Map Default
--Vehicles = Off

Other Rules:
--No restrictions on weapon usage (sword, etc)
--Play nice or get disqualified
--No throwing controllers or anything else
--Do not nag organizer to find out what round you play in, etc, announcements will be made
--Use temporary accounts to log in
--Make your control settings before the game starts

what kind of tournament is it? everyman for himself or 2v2 or 4v4?

It'll be a free for all of some kind. I'm finalizing the rules / maps tonight (after playing some more matchmaking).

Well the Halo 3 Release Party in the Gameroom was a great success! Apparently such a success that they didn't have enough pizza! We're expecting to order even more pizza for the Halo 3 tournament to make sure everyone can get their fill. Please try to be on time so we can get this event up and running smoothly, as I'm expecting a huge attendance which will take a long time to progress through.
